I am so glad that you attending a conference centered around the technology and business that you are in. I always recommend this to my clients and they seem hesitant. I am also glad to here that you stayed even though your first impression wasn't too fabulous. These smaller events are some of the greatest opportunities to talk to people that have the same interests that you do and get some great information as well as make connections. Thank you for keeping us posted on what is happening at zhiing.

Thanks for the hard work over the holidays everyone! I am really stoked to work with Russ today to send the first zhiing from the Blackberry Storm on the Verizon Network.

There may only be a few dozen people on the planet that understand the technical challenges to working around the barriers that Verizon places on the GPS functionality operating on their network (like shutting the gps functionality off!).

You guys are brilliant.

This is a huge productivity enabler for any sales rep or service rep. From your PC, download the Internet Explorer add-on for zhiing. As you plan your coming day, google all of the addresses you will be calling on and send yourself a zhiing with each planned destination by clicking the zhiing next to each address. Then from home or wherever you'll start your day, open your zhiing inbox on your iPhone or BlackBerry and select your first call for directions to that location. After that first call, select the next destination on your list to see directions from that location to the next. This is a huge timesaver and requires no typing of current or proposed locations. This can also save on fuel costs.

I’ve spent over 20 years in the meeting industry as a meeting planner.
Finding locations and then trying to get other people to those locations can really add to the stress of planning an event. Zhiing is awesome stress reliever for me a planner.

Yesterday I was with viewing a new location for an event. I need to get other members of my planning committee there and they are very unfamiliar with Santa Barbara and new to the city. I Zhiing’d them quickly and they could find me. I didn’t have to go to email and write directions or have them have to go look it up or my favorite try to give turn-by-turn directions over the phone (while 5 other people are calling my cell at the same time).

I think other planners are really going to appreciate this application especially when working with remote and private VIP locations. Trying to get vendors you are depending on directions can be time consuming. As a planner I spend very little time at my desk so this application at my fingertips is my new best friend.

Read Roberts Rules of Order. Not that every meeting needs to be a board meeting, but it does provide a framework.

I like the rock-paper-scissors and the three thumbs up for the PR effort with the annalists today. Somehow in a strange way, that was a fitting way to support our new team member - who is kicking it!

Setting timelines for agenda items is also a profitable process.
